About Us

The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) is the professional association of individuals and organizations that generate philanthropic support for a wide variety of charitable institutions. Founded in 1960, AFP advances philanthropy through its more than 30,000 members in 230 chapters throughout the world.

At AFP San Antonio, we believe that fundraisers are the heart of every mission. Whether they’re securing life-changing gifts, building community partnerships, or advocating for equity, their work fuels the causes that uplift our region.

Our chapter serves as a hub for professional growth, peer connection, and values-driven leadership. Through dynamic programming, mentorship, and recognition events like National Philanthropy Day, we equip fundraisers with the tools and inspiration to lead boldly and ethically.

Throughout the years, we’ve supported hundreds of professionals, from emerging leaders to seasoned executives, through:

  • Workshops and webinars that sharpen skills and deepen impact
  • Mentorship and networking that foster belonging and collaboration
  • Celebrations of generosity that honor donors, volunteers, and changemakers
  • Commitment to DEI and ethics that ensure fundraising reflects the communities we serve

Together, we’re building a stronger, more compassionate nonprofit community, one fundraiser, one relationship, one act of generosity at a time.

Join us and let's create impact together!
